Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, today paid a Christmas visit to Dr. Gambo Dauda, the Director of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Northwest Zone, at his residence in Katsina.
During the cordial visit, Governor Radda emphasized his role as a leader for all faiths, stating that he serves as Governor for both Muslims and Christians alike.
The Governor expressed appreciation over the trust, unity and cooperation of the Christian community, adding that the Christmas celebration also calls for mutual respect, love and compassion among all citizens.
The visit holds special significance as Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus (Prophet Isa in Islam) and a reminiscent of Prophet Muhammad’s (Peace Be Upon Him) teachings on peaceful coexistence among people of other faiths.
The Governor’s high-powered delegation include Deputy Governor Faruk Lawal Jobe,(Sarkin Fulanin Jobe) Chief of Staff Hon. Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir, Commissioner for Religious Affairs Hon. Ishaq Shehu Dabai, and Chairman State Pilgrim Welfare Board Alhaji Bature.(Sarkin Alhazai)
