Kogi Democratic Group KDG has accused the prominent traditional ruler in Ofu, the Eje of Ofu, Akwu Obaje, Deputy Governorship Candidate, Joel Ododo community leader, Yahaya Adams to compromise the military men deployed for election monitoring in Ejule and it’s environs so as to give APC thugs a field day.
The revelation came on Thursday night warning the military not to succumb to the evil machinations orchestrated by APC Zonal Leader, Alfa, Deputy Governorship Candidate, Joel Ododo and some prominent people of the town accusing Alfa of bankrolling the feeding allowances of the military since they were deployed to Ejule town and it’s environs, Emmanuel Audu the protem spokesperson revealed.
He further described the planned action of a traditional ruler and community as a disservice to the people they are supposed to protect as custodians of our culture.
He wondered what traditional rulers and community leader has to do with political activities, stating that they already made their community and local government area ungovernable, with the presence of political thugs harrassing the opposition parties and killing innocent people, which led to the demonstration of the indigene of the area in Abuja , that arose the deployment of the military by the federal government.
Emmanuel accused the connivance of APC leader and some traditional ruler that led to the killing of a former ally of Kogi Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello known as Jibrin Bala.
He asked the opposition parties particularly SDP to alert the Defence Headquarters of attempt to bribe his men by politicians with ill gotten wealth, and unpopular traditional ruler and community leader.
He accused the APC Deputy Governorship Candidate, Joel Ododo who is from that area of planning to kill people before he becomes the Deputy Governor of Kogi state.
