Anyigba Community has passed a vote of no confidence on the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company AEDC for giving priority to neighboring villages that does not need light beyond using it to see darkness.
The statement came on the heels of the epileptic power supply to Anyigba, needing power for both commercial and industrial purposes.
The community frowned at not only the epileptic power supply, but irregular supply at the expense of villages along Lokoja- Ajaokuta roads and it’s environs.
“You will discover that on your way from Lokoja, villages across the roads who don’t pay for light consumption have constant light,, as well as living their light on during the day time without remorse.”
“But , on getting to Anyigba were light is needed mostly , you discovered it is either low current or not at all .” A community leader , Mohammad Dada murmured.
He appealed to AEDC for improved service in the area and provision of more transformers , prepaid meters that will stop exploitation of the people.
He said the community will mobilise people not to pay bills when light is not available, epileptic and irregular.
