On behalf of the entire Executive Committee, Elders, Stakeholders and members of the Peoples Democratic Party, Dekina Local Government Area, we express our deepest condolences over the passing of our leader, father and elder statesman, His Excellency, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, former Executive Governor of Kogi State.
The death of Alh. Ibrahim Idris is a colossal loss to the PDP family, to Kogi State and to Nigeria as a whole. He was a pillar of our great party, an accomplished businessman, a bridge-builder and a true democrat whose nine years of service as Governor laid the foundation for the development of modern Kogi State.

He is Popularly known as “Ibro”, he will be remembered for his humility, philanthropy, commitment to workers’ welfare and his fatherly role in stabilizing PDP in Kogi State even after leaving office.
We extend our heartfelt sympathies to his immediate family, the entire Idris family of Idah and Omala, the Government and people of Kogi State, and the National Leadership of our great party.
May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljannah Firdaus.
