Sequel to enquiries from our teeming members and supporters, the Allied People’s Movement (APM) confirms that it is holding talks with serving senators and members of the House of Representatives and other like-minded political leaders from across the country, who are desirous of joining the APM ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Already, our party on Wednesday, received the Senator representing Nasarawa South, Distinguished Senator Mohammed Ogoshi Onawo (Ciroman Doma), who moved from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to the APM during Senate plenary on Tuesday.
This is sequel to the press release by the Allied People’s Movement APM National Publicity Secretary, Abubakar Yusuf on Thursday.
A two-term Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly and a two-term member of the House of Representatives before being overwhelmingly elected into the Senate, Senator Onawo is a grassroot politician and forthright leader renowned for his track-record of impactful public service and steadfastness in putting the interest and wellbeing of the people first, which is in tandem with the guiding principles of our great party.
Senator Onawo, who was formally received by the National Chairman of the APM, Alhaji Yusuf Mamman Dantalle and other leaders of the party at the APM National Secretariat in Abuja on Wednesday.
Welcoming Senator Onawo, Alhaji Dantalle restated the party’s commitment to its slogan, “Nigeria First,” while reassuring Nigerians of APM’s determination to win the 2027 general elections, particularly the presidential election so as to enthrone the right leadership to rebuild our nation and return her to the path of peace, unity and economic prosperity.
On his own part, Senator Onawo pledged loyalty to the party and reassured of his unwavering determination and commitment to work with other leaders to deliver victory for the APM not only in Nasarawa South Senatorial district but also the entire Nasarawa State, other states of the federation and the presidential election.
The APM thanks Nigerians for their massive support and solidarity for our party and Presidential candidate, Governor Seyi Makinde, who embodies the aspiration of Nigerians for the new beginning that they yearn for.
