Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has called on the leadership of the Allied People’s Movement (APM) to ensure that only loyal, dedicated and capable individuals emerge as the party’s candidates for the forthcoming local government elections scheduled for August.
Mohammed made the appeal while declaring open the APM Stakeholders’ Meeting at the Government House in Bauchi.
He stressed that the Party’s chances of success at the polls would largely depend on presenting candidates who are committed to the party’s vision and prepared to provide purposeful leadership at the grassroots.
Governor Mohammed emphasized the significance of unity, loyalty and discipline within the party, urging members to set aside personal interests and rally behind decisions reached through the Party’s democratic processes. According to him, a united front remains essential for achieving victory in the elections.
He described the upcoming local government polls as an opportunity to further strengthen grassroots democracy while building on the developmental strides and improved service delivery recorded by his administration across the state.
