As the National Publicity Secretary of Yari 4 Tinubu–Shettima 2027, and following questions from members and stakeholders concerning the leadership of our structure in Kogi State, I am pleased to formally announce the appointment of:
RT. HON. ISMAIL INAH HUSSAIN
KOGI STATE COORDINATOR
YARI 4 TINUBU–SHETTIMA 2027 PROJECT
This appointment is with immediate effect.
BRIEF PROFILE OF RT. HON. ISMAIL INAH HUSSAIN
Rt. Hon. Ismail Inah Hussain was born on 3 January 1960 in Ajaka, Kogi State.
He attended RCM Primary School, Ajaka, and subsequently proceeded to St. Peter’s College, Idah, where he graduated in 1979.
In 1983, he enrolled at the Federal Polytechnic, Idah, Kogi State, and obtained his Higher National Diploma in 1989.
He undertook his NYSC programme with Shell Oil Company, Warri, and later proceeded to Enugu State University, where he obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration in 2002.
In 2018, he obtained a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the National Open University of Nigeria, Abuja.
PUBLIC SERVICE & POLITICAL EXPERIENCE
In 1994, Rt. Hon. Ismail Inah Hussain joined the Federal Civil Service as a Higher Catering Officer and was deployed to the Federal Ministry of Education, where he rose to the position of Principal Catering Officer.
In 2003, he was appointed Director-General of the Kogi State Liaison Office, Abuja, with responsibility also extending to the Kaduna and Lagos Liaison Offices, under the administration of the then Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Prince Abubakar Audu.
In 2004, he was deployed to Government House, Lokoja, where he was appointed Director-General, Protocol, by the then Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris. He served in that capacity until 2007.
In 2007, he contested and won election into the Kogi State House of Assembly and was subsequently elected Deputy Speaker in 2008, serving until 2011.
In 2011, Rt. Hon. Ismail Inah Hussain contested for the House of Representatives and won, subsequently serving as a Member of the National Assembly from 2011 to 2015.
In 2019, he was appointed Senior Legislative Assistant to the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives.
He currently serves as Senior Legislative Assistant to the President of the Senate, His Excellency, Senator Godswill Akpabio.
A NEW RESPONSIBILITY
With this wealth of public service, legislative and administrative experience, we are confident that Rt. Hon. Ismail Inah Hussain will bring valuable experience, maturity and organisational capacity to the coordination of the Yari 4 Tinubu–Shettima 2027 Project in Kogi State.
On behalf of the National Executive Committee and the entire Yari 4 Tinubu–Shettima 2027 family, I warmly congratulate him on this appointment.
We call on all coordinators, officers, stakeholders, youth groups, women groups and members across Kogi State to extend their full cooperation and support to the new State Coordinator.
