For neglecting Almohass, Mater dei, Royal Spring and Porter Field school community, residents of the area has promised to vote opposition party if that will attract provision of street lights and good roads to the community.
This is coming at a time when voters and local government election is been prepared for in the area councils including Gwagwalada.
The community resolved on Thursday and preferred to vote for any opposition party , since development among many others is only attracted to other Communities.
The spokesman of the community, Abubakar Yusuf said the communities has long been marginalized in the area of infrastructural development, road construction among many others.
“How can you be in the same area , some people are in darkness prone to criminals , while others are enjoying solar street lights, good roads because they have people in government.”
“The worst is happening now , you must be a former political office holder, or highly influential person to attract solar street lights to not only your area , even to your compound , as installations and installers now accept bribe to mount the lights.”
“We have seen so many houses with public street lights , rather than been mounted on the streets to check criminal elements, at the expense of the public .”
“We are appealing to the Gwagwalada Area Council to have a rethink and connect the area to renewable energy of solar street lights and building of good roads or else , we won’t vote for their party , APC in the forthcoming local government elections.”
