Condemning the Gestapo-Style Arrest of Comr Usman Okai Austin
We strongly condemn the gestapo-style arrest of Comr Usman Okai Austin by the Kogi State Government. This blatant attempt to stifle dissent and intimidate opposition members is unacceptable and should not be tolerated by well-meaning citizens of the state and country.
The actions of the police and government of Kogi State are a clear affront to democracy and the fundamental human rights of its citizens. The use of intimidation and harassment to silence opposition voices is a reprehensible tactic that has no place in a democratic society.
We call on the government of Kogi State to immediately release Comr Usman Okai Austin and to cease all forms of harassment and intimidation against opposition members. We also demand that the government respects the fundamental human rights of its citizens, including the right to freedom of speech and assembly.
The people of Kogi State deserve better than a government that resorts to gestapo-style tactics to maintain its power. We stand in solidarity with Comr Usman Okai Austin and all those who are fighting for democracy and human rights in Kogi State.
