The Executive Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, PhD CON, extols Katsina-born Hon. Bello Lawal Yandaki on his emergence as the new National President of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON).
Hon. Yandaki , who currently serves as the Chairman of Kaita Local Government Area in Katsina State, brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of leadership to this prestigious national position.
“On behalf of the government and people of Katsina State, I congratulate Hon. Bello Lawal on this well-deserved victory as ALGON National President,” Governor Radda said.
“This victory not only honours him but also brings pride to our dear state.”
Governor Radda points to Hon. Lawal’s extensive experience in local governance, noting his current role as Executive Chairman of Kaita Local Government Council and his previous service as Chairman of the Transition Council.
The Governor expresses confidence in Hon. Lawal’s ability to lead ALGON effectively, given his diverse background in banking, education, and politics.
“Hon. Lawal’s multifaceted experience, including his roles in the banking sector and his academic achievements, uniquely positions him to understand and address the complex challenges facing local governments across Nigeria,” Governor Radda added.
The Governor also emphasizes the significance of having a Katsina State native in this influential position, viewing it as an opportunity to bring more attention and resources to grassroots development not just in Katsina, but across the nation.
“We are confident that Hon. Lawal will use this platform to advocate for stronger, more efficient local government administration throughout Nigeria,” said Governor Radda.
