The Katsina Youth Craft Village (KYCV) has announced a significant breakthrough in its skills development program with the exceptional talent of one of its trainees in industrial design with special focus on automotive design.
Ishaq Jamilu, a resident of Sabon Titin Kwado, has demonstrated remarkable skill and consistency in car design, showcasing the potential for Katsina State to become a hub for automotive innovation. His unique abilities represent the caliber of talent being nurtured at KYCV, reinforcing the centre’s commitment to skills acquisition and innovation.
Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, upon reviewing Ishaq’s designs, commended the KYCV for its efforts in nurturing local talent. “This development is a testament to the untapped potential within our youth. By investing in skills development and providing the right platforms, we are laying the groundwork for Katsina to become a significant player in Nigeria’s automotive industry,” the Governor stated.
The government reiterates its commitment to supporting KYCV and similar initiatives that aim to discover, develop, and retain local talents. This approach is seen as crucial for the state’s long-term economic growth and technological advancement.
Engr. Kabir Abdullahi Kofar Soro, Coordinator of KYCV, expressed optimism about the center’s future, stating, “With the right framework and continued government support, we believe many more talents like Ishaq can be discovered and developed. KYCV is poised to evolve from a skills acquisition center into a talent incubation hub, particularly in the realm of car design and assembly.”
