Idah Local Government Council Secretary, Alhaji Alhaji who doubles as Chairman, forum of local government Secretaries in Kogi State has hailed the executive governor, Alhaji Usman Ododo for sending a high – powered delegation to ascertain the extent of damage to Idah water project with the view to submitting a comprehensive report aimed at resuscitating the project within a reasonable time.
The delegation was led by the state Commissioner for water resources, Hon. Engr Yahaya M.D Farouk.
Other members of the entourage are Hon. Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Madam Acharu Okpanachi, Permanent Secretary, Ministry for water Resources, Mr Akor Gabriel, Director of Water, General Manager, Kogi State water Board, APC stalwart, Alhaji Friday Idachaba, Chairman, Idah local government council, Hon Amade Egwuda, Secretary to Idah Local Government Council, Alhaji Alhaji and the Personal Assistant to the Hon Commissioner for water resources.
The delegation were in Idah today, 9th July, 2024 and paid courtesy visit on the Ata Igala HRM Mathew Alaji Opaluwa before heading to Ofiayi water site.
Ata Igala sent Onu Idah to represent him on the visit.
It is obvious His Excellency, Alhaji Usman Ododo is determined to improve the infrastructural development of the state and make life easier for the people.
Alhaji Alhaji used the visit to thank the people of Idah local government area for their continuous support and loyalty to the government which is now yielding dividends through the state government’s patronage of the community.
