The Elulu of Mopa, His Royal Majesty, (Oba) Dr. Muyiwa Ibeun, in the company of the Olujumu of Ijumu, His Royal Majesty, Oba Ayeni Olusegun Williams, paid a working visit to the office of the Director-General, National Productivity Centre, Dr. Nasir Olaitan Raji-Mustapha on Thursday, July4, 2024. The visit, by the Royal Fathers, was to seek the Centre’s support for project intervention for their respective communities.
Speaking during the meeting, Dr. Raji-Mustapha, who is a long time friend and ally of the Elulu, Oba Ibeun, assured the Royal Fathers that the NPC would consider their respective communities and other communities in Kogi State for the Centre’s programmes and activities. He disclosed that the Palace of Olujumu has been placed in the 2024 budget for construction while also assuring the Elulu that the Palace of Elulu would be captured for construction very soon.
While appreciating the Monarchs for the visit, he commended their effort in ensuring the development of their respective communities, as well as the protection and promotion of their traditional heritage and culture.
