The Katsina State Government has banned all types of night large gatherings.
It however regulated those to be held during the daytime.
A release issued on Friday, by Bala Salisu Zango, the state Commissioner of Information and Culture, said the ban is with immediate effect.
According to Salisu Zango, the general public is therefore warned against flouting the directive, saying violators will face the full wrath of the law.
Part of the release reads: “The Katsina state government has banned all types of night large gatherings. This includes religious and social large public gatherings with exception of obligatory prayers.
“However, in the case of gatherings during daytime, when it becomes necessary to hold them permission must be sought from the Police Divisional Office within the local government area, where the gathering will take place”.
