APC thugs stationed in Anyigba, Dekina local government area are still scaring the people with heavy gunshots in preparation towards the November 11 governorship election in Kogi state.
This ugly development is been witnessed by residents as thugs loyal to APC engaged in sporadic shootings with AK47 guns donated by the state government evey night, to scare away residents whenever they return from campaigns.
The development has left the people of the area in doubt, whether a free , fair and credible election will hold in Anyigba and other parts of Dekina Local Government Area in the next weekend election.
The thugs been bankrolled by federal lawmakers from the area , were provided with two Sienna vehicles courtesy of Kogi east Senator, Jibrin Isah and member representing Dekina Bassa local government in the House of Representatives, Gowon Haruna.
A call has however gone to the federal government and security agencies to provide more military presence to Anyigba and it’s environs few days to election, to forestall electorates apathy.
Some residents of the area said the only way for election to hold in Anyigba and Dekina Local Government Area as well as the entire Kogi state is to militarise the election, as the ruling party , APC is no longer popular and will want to rig the contest.
