A strong delegation from National APC headquarter Under the leadership of National Chairman Party Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje who was accompanied by the Sokoto state Governor Dr. Ahmad Aliyu FCNA has today paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Sheikh Abubakar Giro Argungu, who died on Wednesday at the Federal Medical Center, Birnin Kebbi after a brief illness.
The delegation, who were received by the state Deputy Governor Senator Umar Abubakar Tafida, were at the place of the Emir of Argungu, Alhaji Samaila Muhammad Mera, to express their condolences to the state government and the people of the state.
Speaking at the place, the leader, Dr. Ganduje, said they were there to offer condolences to the family and the people of the state for the loss of the Imam Giro. He prayed to Allah to forgive his shortcomings, grant him Jannatul Firdaus, and give his family and the people of Kebbi State the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Speaking while receiving the entourage, the Emir of Argungu, Alhaji Samaila Muhammad Mera, who thanked the entourage, also prayed to Allah to reward them for the visit. He described the death as a loss not only to the people of the state but also to the entire African Muslim Ummah.
The visit was attended by top government officials, politicians, and traditional rulers.
