Rotary Club International District 9125 Abuja have empowered 120 teachers with more education techniques.
According to the Rotary Club, the teachers learned modern teaching methodologies, innovative approaches, and best practices adding that they will now inculcate same to the students in the FCT.
Speaking on behalf of the District 9125 Governor of Rotary International, District Governor Nominee (DGN) Dame Joy Nky Okoro said the teachers brought together seasoned educational consultants who will impart their expertise and knowledge to approximately 120 teachers from various schools in the FCT.
Okoro expressed appreciation to all participating clubs and their hope Presidents for starting the create hope year adding that they are empowering the teachers to be upgraded from the traditional way of teaching to the modern teaching method.
The President of Presidents in FCT, Rotarian Agwu Ijeoma representing 17 powerful Rotary Clubs in Abuja, said they are collaborating with The Greenolives Development Foundation to empower the teacher.
“Together, we have embarked on a multi-club joint project aimed at empowering teachers to empower students, as we recognize the pivotal role of education in shaping a brighter future for our society.
“Education is the cornerstone of progress, and teachers are the architects of that progress. They hold the key to unlocking the potential within each student, nurturing their talent and guiding them towards success.
“Today, we have gathered here with a shared purpose—to equip our teachers with the tools and methodologies necessary to inspire, engage, and educate our students effectively.
“The “Train the Teachers” seminar we have organized brings together seasoned educational consultants who will impart their expertise and knowledge to approximately 120 teachers from various schools. These educators will learn modern teaching methodologies, innovative approaches, and best practices that will enable them to create dynamic and interactive learning environments. By investing in the professional development of our teachers, we are investing in the future of our students and our nation.
“Throughout this training, the teachers will gain valuable insights, explore new techniques, and acquire practical skills that they can apply directly in their classrooms.

Dr Okeme Honours The 9th Graduation Ceremony Of Dr William Kupiec Girls’ Academy.
The Senior Legislative Aide (SLA) to the member representing Ankpa/Omala/Olamaboro Federal Constituency cum Deputy Majority Leader of the 10th House of Representatives, Dr Okeme Emmanuel, in the capacity of his boss, honoured the 9th graduation ceremony of Dr William Kupiec Girls’ Academy, Agbaduma-Okpo in Olamaboro local government area of Kogi State.
The event which held at the school auditorium on Sunday, 16th July, 2023 was attended by dignitaries of high repute, hundreds of relatives and friends of the graduates from all spectra, who travelld down from far and near.
Dr Okeme, who doubled as chairman of the occasion, in his remarks, extended his congratulations to the graduating class. He touched upon various achievements of the school, notably in the fields of education, innovation, and social contribution by and large.
Emphasizing the School’s rich research output and its extensive publications, he underscored their significant contribution to the academic standard ranking. He also made note of the remarkably invincible rate of the school’s graduates.
In his message to the graduated students, he urged them to seize this unique opportunity and leverage on science capabilities while adhering to ethical, socially responsible, and patient-centred approaches.
He expressed his vision for a more efficient, effective, and compassionate healthcare system, where the fusion of dependable science students and human expertise can bring about transformative advancements, while assuring them of Right (Hon) Halims’ commitment to enhancing academic standard of schools across Ankpa Federal Axis, both public and private ones, to the best of his capacity.
The Bishop of Idah Diocese, Dr Anthony Adaji, used the occasion to laud Right (Hon) Halims for his unprecedented achievements, describing him as the governor of Ankpa Federal Axis whose undoubted capacity now speaks volumes beyond his immediate constituency, Kogi State and Nigeria.
‘The position of Rep. Halims as Deputy Majority Leader of the 10th House of Representatives is by no means an error, having distinguished himself and palpably outperformed his predecessors in different spheres,ʼ said the Bishop.
He however prayed God to guide him and equally enlarge his unmatched wisdom for the benefit of the masses, as his leadership is all-involving.
Appreciating, the school principal, Rev. Sister Margaret Ogunlade, thanked the hounourable member for honouring their invitation always, particularly for his love for education, his religious tolerance and above all, his contagious democracy dividends at all levels.
She added by thanking him tremendously for how often he organizes inter-school debate amongs high institutions in Ankpa Federal Constituency, and the enlistment of Dr William Kupiec Girls’ Academy, Agbaduma-Okpo into the list of schools that chiefly benefitted from the recent distribution of costly school items and science kits.
