The Executive Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda PhD CON, has approved the appointment of 28-year-old Suleiman Saad as Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Climate Change.
This appointment marks a bold step towards youth inclusion in environmental governance in the state.
Saad, a Computer Science graduate from Alqalam University Katsina, brings a wealth of experience in climate advocacy and community engagement to his new role.
His appointment reflects the administration’s commitment to addressing climate challenges with fresh perspectives and innovative approaches.
“Suleiman Saad’s appointment points to our dedication to both youth empowerment and environmental stewardship,” Governor Radda stated.
“His expertise and passion for climate issues will be invaluable as we work to build a more sustainable and resilient Katsina State.”
Prior to his appointment, Saad distinguished himself through his work with Youth Compass Foundation, where he spearheaded various climate awareness and environmental protection initiatives.
His background in technology and environmental advocacy positions him uniquely to drive forward-thinking climate policies.
As SSA on Climate Change, Saad will be responsible for advising the governor on climate-related issues, developing strategies for environmental conservation, and coordinating with various stakeholders to implement sustainable practices across the state.
This appointment is with immediate effect.
Governor Radda has been widely acknowledged for his vision of integrating young, skilled professionals into key government positions to tackle pressing challenges facing Katsina State.
