The Acting Governor of Katsina State, His Excellency, Malam Faruq Lawal Jobe, on behalf of the Government and people of Katsina State, heartily congratulates Dr. Badamasi Lawal Charanchi on his appointment as the Chief Executive Officer of the National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA) by His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Dr. Badamasi Lawal, an esteemed son of Katsina State, brings to this crucial national role a wealth of experience and an inspiring academic background. As an Associate Professor of Health Education with a Ph.D. from Bayero University, Kano, Dr. Lawal has demonstrated exceptional scholarship throughout his academic sojourn, earning accolades such as best graduating student awards at various levels of his education.
His extensive public service experience, including roles as Chairman of Katsina State Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency, two-term Chairman of Charanchi Local Government Area, Honourable Commissioner of Education in Katsina State between 2017 – 2023 and presently the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, uniquely positions him for this new national responsibility.
The Acting Governor Jobe noted, “Dr. Lawal’s appointment is another addition to the array of Katsina sons and daughters contributing significantly to national development. His expertise, as evidenced by his 48 publications and his rise from graduate assistant to Associate Professor, will undoubtedly be invaluable in steering the ship of NSIPA.”
“The Government of Katsina State is confident that Dr. Lawal will bring to bear his vast experience in public service, his academic prowess, and his passion for community development in this new role. We believe his appointment will further strengthen the impact of social investment programs across the nation,” Jobe pronounced.
“I pray for Dr. Lawal’s success in this new endeavour and look forward to the positive changes his leadership will bring to NSIPA and, by extension, to the lives of countless Nigerians,” he concluded.
