The Allied People’s Movement (APM) asserts that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is not commanding the support of credible Nigerians because of his horrible performance in office which has made his administration the worst in the history of Nigeria.
The party invites Nigerians and the international community to note that those calling for President Tinubu’s re-election despite his record as a colossal failure are mostly discredited politicians including those seeking official cover for corruption charges and other atrocities they committed against Nigerians.
The APM states that a roll call of President Tinubu’s supporters shows a preponderance of ethically challenged and internationally disgraced characters, greedy and insensitive political jobbers who have lost face with Nigerians and cannot command genuine support for any candidate in an election.
APM’s position is on the backdrop of unrelenting vituperations by President Tinubu’s supporters against well-meaning Nigerians with hubristic boasting that no opposition can prevent the failed President from winning the January 2027 election despite his widespread rejection by Nigerians who are daily facing agonizing life-discounting experiences because his maladministration.
Accordingly, the National Publicity Secretary of the party said it goes without saying that only those blinded by greed and cowardice will be so thoughtless to call for the re-election of the Tinubu-led All Progressives Congress (APC) administration that unrepentantly subject Nigerians to a life of agony, hardship and misery while its arrogant and overtly corrupt officials brazenly loot and fritter our common patrimony to finance their luxury appetite and extravagant life styles.
The recent revelation of insertion of billions of naira in fictitious items in the 2026 budget, which proceeded are reportedly being funneled to private pockets of APC leaders and their apologists, further confirms the level of impunity that characterizes the APC administration.
Any person calling for the re-election of the Tinubu administration is directly supporting the retaining of a hopeless and rudderless administration; an administration that has no solution to the worsening insecurity, mindless killings, maiming and kidnapping of our compatriots by terrorists.
Indeed, such person will be supporting an administration that lacks the capacity and skill to run a healthy economy and provide for the need of the people, but relishes on imposing asphyxiating policies that are crippling of our productive sector, resulting in closure of millions of businesses with attendant mass job loss, massive unemployment, high cost of living, widespread hunger, starvation and sense of hopelessness across the country.
Supporting President Tinubu’s reelection would amount to supporting reckless spending and mortgaging of the future of our nation to foreign interest through heedless external borrowing that has reportedly hit a frightening $51.86 billion (approximately ₦74.43 trillion).
Of course, this is not an administration that Nigerians deserve and no patriotic Nigerian will descend into ignominy to stand against the majority of other citizens to call for the re-election of an administration under which there is no ray of hope for our nation.
In summary, those calling for President Tinubu’s re-election are calling for more suffering, more insecurity, more unemployment, more poverty, more collapsed infrastructure and more hopelessness in our country.
Most distressing is that many of those calling for President Tinubu’s re-election hold passports of other nations, have their homes and families abroad and do not care if our nation collapses under APC misrule.
The APC and President Tinubu’s supporters know that he cannot win in a free and fair election.This is the reason they are jittery over the rising popularity of the APM as a rallying opposition platform and our Presidential candidate, Governor Seyi Makinde, who is now standing as the credible alternative to President Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
The APM is unfazed but remains focused especially as Nigerians, the victims of the APC misrule are rallying with our party and candidate in the quest to liberate our nation and set it on the path of economic prosperity, social stability and national cohesion
