The Igala Traditional Council has alleged to have shut their door at the candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, Yakubu Ajaka Muritala.
A source at the palace stated that, after Ajaka was sighted, the gate to the Palace was hurriedly shut against him thereby preventing him from gaining access to the Palace.
The self-acclaim candidate who has been parading himself as the endorsed candidate by the traditional council of Igala was rejected at his mother land by the Igala traditional council of elders, the source claimed.
Eye witness account had it that the rejection was a result of the fact that he has been told several times that he is not their endorsed candidate .
It was noted that the right candidate for the entire Igala Nation is still being awaited and at the right time before the Governorship election in November he will duly endorsed and voted to power.
The source stated that despite Ajaka’s attempt to return home through the night, the SDP candidate was seen openly being rejected by the Igala traditional Council.
The crowd was unhappy with the level of rejection by the Igala traditional council.
