Governor Malam Dikko Umar Radda of Katsina State has commended the proactive commitment of elected representatives in providing essential support to the electorate.

His remarks came during the launch of a combined disbursement of over 135 million naira in cash and food items donated by Senator Muntari Dan Dutse, representing Funtua zone, and members representing Funtua/Dandume federal constituency and the State Assembly, held in Funtua.

Governor Radda expressed appreciation to Senator Muntari Dan dutse for generously supporting party officials, delegates, Imams, women, and youths across the eleven local governments in the zone with 110 million naira in cash.

He also acknowledged the contributions of federal and state assembly members who donated cash, rice, and other essential commodities ahead of Ramadan, assuring that more contributions would follow from honorable members.

Notably, Senior Special Assistant to the President, Ibrahim Kabir Masari, donated food items, cash, and empowerment materials worth over one billion naira to the people of Funtua zone last Saturday.

Senator Muntari Muhammad Dan dutse pledged the implementation of additional developmental projects outlined in the 2024 budget while urging sustainable prayers for peace restoration to facilitate economic revival in the state.

Barrister Abubakar Mohamed Gardi, representing Funtua-Dandume federal constituency, highlighted his donation of rice worth over 128 million naira and a substantial quantity of grains for distribution to the less privileged in the two local governments. He urged large-scale farmers and well-to-do individuals to support the less fortunate, particularly during Ramadan.

State Assembly Member Abubakar Mohamed Total donated 25 million naira in cash and settled debts for constituents, preventing some from facing jail term.

Deputy Chairman of the APC in Katsina, Alhaji Bala Abu Musawa, commended Governor Radda for his unwavering commitment to the establishment of the Federal University of Health Sciences in Funtua zone. He noted that the Ramadan donations by legislative members would benefit the entire zone.

APC Public Relations Officer Shamsu Sule Funtua and Funtua Local Government Chairman Alhaji Lawal Sani lauded the legislative members for their contributions, acknowledging that Governor Radda’s policies prioritize economic revival, unity, and overall progress of the state.
