The Igala Cultural and Development Association (ICDA) received with profound sorrow the passing of Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, former Governor of Kogi State and an illustrious son of Igala Kingdom.
His death is a deep and painful loss to his family, the Igala nation, and indeed kogi state. He was a son who rose to prominence and served his people and the state for nearly nine years as Governor, leaving an indelible mark on our collective history.
At this moment of grief, ICDA stands firmly with the Idris family and the entire Igala people. We mourn with you, share your pain, and pray that Almighty Allah grants the departed eternal rest and gives his family the strength to bear this irreparable loss.
An illustrious son has returned to his Creator. His journey has ended, but his footprints remain in the sands of our history.
May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings, accept his good deeds, and grant him Al-Jannatul Firdaus.
May his soul rest in perfect peace.
