A one-day entrepreneurship and business management training organized by Hon. Dr. Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali Halims, member representing Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, was successfully held on March 30, 2026, in Ankpa Local Government Area of Kogi State.
The training, which brought together participants from across the three local government areas, was part of the lawmaker’s ongoing efforts to empower constituents with practical skills for economic growth and self-reliance.
Hon. Aminu Jibrin, Personal Assistant to Hon. Halims on Domestic Affairs, represented the lawmaker at the event.
In his remarks, he reiterated Hon. Halims’ commitment to grassroots development, noting that the initiative was aimed at equipping beneficiaries with the knowledge and tools needed to build and sustain successful businesses.
The training sessions focused on key areas essential for entrepreneurial success, including understanding one’s business and its importance, effective money management for business growth, and making sound decisions while addressing real-life business challenges.
Participants were actively engaged through interactive discussions and practical insights delivered by experienced facilitators.
Many of the participants expressed gratitude to Hon. Halims for his continued investment in human capital development, describing the training as timely and impactful.
The highlights of the event was the distribution of empowerment materials to selected participants, including motorcycles and sewing machines, alongside honorarium for attendees.
Beneficiaries noted that the support would significantly boost their businesses and improve their livelihoods.
