The North Central Development Commission, ostensibly established by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to eradicate developmental disparities amongst constituent states, stands tainted by egregious allegations of systemic marginalization and deliberate exclusion of Igala from its foundational framework. This prima facie evidence of gross disenfranchisement warrants immediate, unequivocal, and efficacious rectification. We categorically reject the notion that the Igala people can be relegated to the periphery of decision-making processes that affect their lives, livelihoods, and collective well-being.
The NCDC’s establishment has instead perpetuated a glaring, palpable, and unconscionable lacuna in representation, thereby exacerbating the plight of the Igala populace and constituting a breach of their fundamental, inalienable, and indefeasible rights. We implore the National Assembly to subject the proposal to an exhaustive, rigorous, and exacting scrutiny, rejecting with utmost finality any provisions that perpetuate this egregious exclusion.
We peremptorily demand that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as the chief architect of this initiative, takes swift, decisive, and meaningful actions to dismantle this orchestrated campaign of exclusion against the Igala people. Failure to comply would precipitate catastrophic, far-reaching, and deleterious consequences that would irreparably imperil the very fabric of our society.
The Igala populace will not be placated, mollified, or swayed by tokenistic gestures, half-hearted measures, or cosmetic reforms. Rather, we assert our inherent, inalienable, and indefeasible right to fair, equitable, and meaningful representation, bolstered by a plethora of highly qualified, exceptionally competent, and eminently suited individuals poised to assume leadership roles within the commission.
In conclusion, we reiterate our unwavering demand for fair representation and inclusion in the NCDC. We call upon the relevant authorities to take immediate, concrete, and irreversible action to address this egregious injustice and ensure that the Igala people are accorded their rightful place within the commission. We will continue to assert our rights, advocate for our people, and mobilize support until justice is served, equity is achieved, and the rights of the Igala people are fully recognized and respected.
