When has it become that opposition to bad governance is regarded as madness , basically because some person’s are feeding fat on the bad side of leadership, characterised by only mere good side of the government against the backdrop of some elements of maladministration, that boarders on the welfare of the local government workforce at the state level .
Since the present administration of Governor Usman Ododo graduated from that of Yahaya Bello who was against all forms of criticisms and doing things in their own way, some notable kogites like Austin Okai will not be part of the ongoing rot and charade that was too early to condone .
Austin Okai’s offence was to demand for the utilization of the 13.4B local government funds that was diverted between the office of the Accountant General, Local Governments and others for equity and accountability last year in 2024
For those of you like Oladele John Nihi who have constituted yourself as sycophants and practicing full time sycophancy at the corridor of power, will not see anything bad in the current administration of Governor Usman Ododo, hence their endorsement of bad governance and the threat for Okai and his cohorts to steer clear of Kogi state .
Since it is not going to be business as usual and the ploy to continue to harass human right activist like Austin Okai by the likes of John Oladele Nihi and his co- travellers is to continue to design the consequences of stopping the madness through harassments.
Whether in and out of detention by Kogi state government paid security agencies, Okai will not be detered by any iota of harassment to continue to pursue truth, justice, fairness, and sincerity of purpose by those charged with public trust, no matter how highly placed, so Oladele John Nihi’s threat directed to Austin Okai and his associates is regarded as an empty threat that will not stand the taste of time, unless the Kogi government and his collaborators continued to do the needful .
The idea of hidden under the welfare of workers and pensioners to engage in malfeasance is already archaic and no longer in vogue, as Kogi must be rescued from the shackles of underdevelopment and denial no matter whose ox is gored.
