The Deputy Leader of the House of Representatives and Member Representing Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency of Kogi State, Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims has declared that without recourse to the economic crisis bedeviling Nigeria, All Progressives Congress remains the only party to beat in Nigeria.

The House Deputy Leader gave the assurance while making his remarks at the inauguration of a support group – Halims Progressive Movement (HPM) which was founded and named after him to serve as frontiers of all his political aspirations.

According to a statement issued by His Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Comrade Muhammed Nasiru, the Federal Lawmaker also relied on his performance, the approval ratings of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo as well as the economic reforms of President Tinubu to declare that his party, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) remains the party to beat in Nigeria.

Impressed by the organisation and obvious commitment of the entire members and executive committee of the Halims Progressive Movement, the Deputy House Leader announced the donation of a brand new bus to assist their mobility and local runnings shortly after the administration of oath of office to the National, Local Government and District Coordinators.

Earlier in a keynote address jointly presented by the National Chairman and Secretary of HPM, Hon. Aminu Atai Onupi and Dr. I. J. Akpa, respectively; the duo stated that “the group aims to dedicate itself to contribute to the leadership style of Gov. Ahmed Usman Ododo to build stronger communities and advocate for good governance in a way that will empower the people stressing that they are determined to rally round both Gov. Ododo and Rep. Halims to achieve greater heights”.
