An Ankpa Indigene ,Jemil has called on the Kogi state Government to shed more light on the allegations of Forgery levelled against former Chairman, Ankpa Local Government, Alhaji Ayuba Nana.
This was contained in a statement issued on Thursday in respect of the damaging reports against the Special Adviser on security to the governor who hailed from Ankpa local government.
His statements further positioned ;
“I completely call with all due respect, urging the state government to provide more information on this matter on how the the signature was forged and the nature of passport that may require SSG signatory, as transparency is crucial in addressing allegations of forgery and ensuring accountability.”
“The viral post about Ayuba Nana, the former Chairman of Ankpa local government, allegedly forging the signature of the state secretary general (SSG) of Kogi state to obtain an international passport has raised several questions.”
“Understanding the Allegations”
“Firstly, the issue isn’t about Hon. Nana’s ability to afford an international passport, but rather the alleged illegal means he used to obtain one. ”
“Forgery is a serious offence, and if true, this would be a violation of the law.
“Requirements for International Passport.
The type of international passport that requires the official signature of the SSG is unclear.”
“However, it’s essential to note that the Nigerian Immigration Service NIS has specific requirements for obtaining an international passport, which typically involve submitting documents like a completed application form, proof of identity, and citizenship .”

“As a former chairman and current security adviser to the governor, Ayuba Nana should have been aware of the proper procedures for obtaining an international passport. If the signature of the SSG was required, it’s puzzling why he wouldn’t have followed the standard protocol and instead allegedly forged the signature if true.”
