The Allied People’s Movement (APM) joins millions of Nigerians to celebrate the nation’s 66 years Independence celebration.
In 66 years, Nigerians have witnessed unprecedented political, economic and social challenges, and prevailed – a testament to citizens’ resilience and abiding faith in God and the fatherland.
The National Chairman, Allied People’s Movement APM, Alhaji Yusuf Mamman Dantale made this statement to mark the occasion on thursday.
APM commends the nation’s founding fathers who in spite of all odds secured the much needed independence from Britain on 1st October 1960. Today, we celebrate our unity in diversity and our resolve, commitment and determination to reset Nigeria to work for all.
Nigerians have endured enormous hardship due to poor leadership in the midst of abundant human and natural resources. It is an aberration in a democratic governance. Citizens deserve a fair deal from the government they voted into office. They need dividends of democracy, not carnage.
APM is on a rescue mission to redirect the ship of the nation from its perilous course to the path of rectitude, progress, development and advancement.
With APM a new, better and greater Nigeria is possible.
It is time to reset Nigeria. It is time for a national rebirth and a greater future for all citizens.
The party urges Nigerians to join the Reset Nigeria Movement and vote massively for the Makinde/Daura presidency as we as all APM candidates for the 2027 general election. The elections must be credible and transparent, and the will of the people respected by all stakeholders in the democratic process.
The era of gambling with our national destiny is over. It is what puts us in this governance quagmire of perennial insecurity and economic hardship. Nigerians are no longer safe in their own country and not sure where the next meal will come from.
The upcoming 2027 general election offers us another opportunity to vote for competent leaders who will put Nigeria First, as the APM motto symbolises. This is our chance to make it happen and move away from the status quo that has impeded the nation’s democratic growth.
As we celebrate the nation’s 66th Independence, let us aspire for a new Nigeria built on unity, peace, progress and development.
Let us continue to stand together as one nation.
Together, we will reset Nigeria to fulfill its manifest destiny of greatness and prosperity.
Happy 66th Independence celebration!
