The National Women Leader of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Hajia Hafsat M.B. Usman, has described Oyo State Governor and APM presidential candidates candidate, Engineer Seyi Makinde, as the presidential material Nigeria needs at this critical stage of the nation’s development.
Hafsat Usman, in a statement on the 2027 presidential contest, said Nigeria requires a leader with proven administrative experience, courage, competence and a clear understanding of the challenges confronting ordinary Nigerians.
She said Makinde’s record in Oyo State demonstrates that he possesses the capacity to translate policies into tangible development and provide purposeful leadership at the national level.
According to her, the choice facing Nigerians in 2027 goes beyond political parties, describing it as a decision about the kind of leadership the country needs to overcome its economic, security and social challenges.
“At this critical time in our national journey, Nigeria needs a leader who understands governance, who listens to the people and who has demonstrated the capacity to deliver. Seyi Makinde represents that quality of leadership,” she said.
The APM Women Leader noted that Makinde’s emergence as the party’s presidential candidate provides an opportunity for Nigerian women and other citizens to rally behind a candidate she described as capable of restoring confidence in the country’s leadership.
Hafsat said the APM would continue to mobilise women across the country around what she described as a credible alternative for Nigerians seeking effective, inclusive and development-oriented leadership.
