The Anti -Corruption Academy of Nigeria, ACAN said the management of Federal Housing Authority, FHA has displayed transparency, selflessness and hardwork determined to fight corruption in the Housing sector over the years.
The Provost of the body, Professor Sherrif Ghali Ibrahim made this remark during an award presentation to the Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer, Federal Housing Authority, FHA, Hon Oyetunde Ojo at the headquarters on Wednesday.

While commending the management of the agency for its steadfastness which led to the award , Sherrif maintained that ACAN as a body coordinated by the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission,ICPC, Nigeria’s anti corruption agency determined to ensure sanity in public offices.
According to Professor Sherrif who stated that the ICPC charged with awareness on corruption, vibrant knowledge, resolve to work , partners on anti corruption drive to discourage Nigerians from sharp practices across all sectors.

Earlier , The Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer of the Authority, Hon Oyetunde Ojo said the commission can boast of a ten trillion naira revenue base ,away from its indebtedness of 12 Billion naira in the last two years on inception .
Coming down front huge investment in Lagos, Abuja and other parts of the country worth 500 billion naira, the profits alone from the inception should be able to sustain the agency. Oyetunde said .
While thanking ACAN for the singular recognition, he said he would have preferred the recognition towards the end of the current tenure , but renege because of the prestige of the body .
We have also invested heavily on staffers welfare to curb corruption and corrupt tendencies bedevlling the authority before assumption of duty.

This ranges from Digitisation, backlog promotion , robust Medicals and free transportation to all categories of staff, including 13th months salary and allowances .
As part of fight against corruption, we have introduced training and retraining both locally and internationally, promising that all staff of the authority will in batches enroll and for training by the Academy to forestall corrupt tendencies .
The authority also provided employment opportunities after two years to Nigerians who are able and disabled across the country., promising to continue to provide more opportunities to the people in that category.
