For Chief (Dr) Nzenwo Nyesom Wike CON, the current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Former Minister of State, Education, Former Rivers State Governor , former Chairman , Obia-Akpor local government in Rivers State , has fulfilled all righteousness, both naturally, socially , economically and otherwise both in the public service and his private life .
Having attained such greatness in life beginning from his early 30’s to now 58 years, today , Saturday, 13th , December, 2025 , at the political front he chose to be his profession and vocation , occupied such plum political offices from the lower level to the highest level , may be coronated naturally or politically in that order , going by the way he had progressed and thrived politically.
As a high profile party leader , opinion moulder and high public officer in the previous and current dispensation, Nzenwo Nyesom Wike CON did not occupied such plum positions from Council Boss to the current level of a Minister of the Federal Republic, without leaving an impact or indelible marks on the sands of time .
Nyesom Nzenwo Wike CON, a humanitarian to the core has contributed to the development of communities , individuals and groups and Nigeria in all ramifications, while he held stint at the previous and current level .
Very hardworking, in all his endeavors, he contributed alot to the development of Obia-Akpor local government that became a sign post to other local government areas in Rivers State, a stride that earned his appointment as Chief of Staff to the then, Rivers State Governor, at that dispensation.
Wike , who was nicknamed “Mr Project ”
when he presided as River State Governor between 2015-2023, abolished what was known as “abandoned projects” rehabilitated and reconstructed all iconic projects since the creation of Rivers State for many decades .
“Mr Project ” initiated and constructed gigantic and standard (12 )flyovers across the state within the two term of his administration that further nicknamed him as “Mr Flyover”
It was Nyesom Nzenwo Wike CON that initiated the tradition of inviting former governors and political office holders, not minding their political affiliations into the inauguration of “Legacy Projects” executed by his administration, that had gone down history in Rivers State.
The likes of Former Kogi Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris , Former Plateau State Governor , Jonah David Jang, and Former Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa State among many other dignataries which included former public officers, President and Vice President.
Before his ascension to the Governor of Rivers State in 2015, Wike transformed and carried out major reforms in the Nigeria’s Education sector as Minister of State, Education, a period State Governors and Governments were deeply committed to basic Education, UBEC grants, payments of counterpart funding and assessment of UBEC funds promptly, far from the current dispensation,
His distinct performance and achievements in Rivers State,as Governor from 2015 -2023 , attracted his appointment as Minister of FCT in the current dispensation.
Aside been Governor in 2023, Wike’s second term in 2019 , was more or less a political war as government at the national level was against his return , he fought and won the power that be to return with overwhelming votes winning the 2019 governorship election in Rivers State, and delivered the Presidential election to the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
Also in 2023 general elections , Dr Chief Nzenwo Nyesom Wike CON delivered the state to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of All Progressives Congress, APC, and the state Governor and House of Assembly to the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, a historic political alignments and realignments of our time he introduced .
Wike , a strong member , founder and leader of People’s Democratic Party, PDP was selected as only Minister of FCT by the APC led administration in 2023 , the position he is holding till now .
Nyesom Wike CON was coronated both by the indigenes of FCT, business moguls, private and public sector and organizations including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for towing the line of Renewed Hope Agenda, RHA of the present administration through rejuvenating the infrastructural decay of the nation’s city.
For the first time in the history of FCT, the Minister has trickled down developments to areas councils, unlike the previous leadership and administration, were not more than one project is earmarked yearly in the area councils.
The ongoing transformation agenda and infrastructural rejuvenation in the FCT has rewritten the history in Education, Health , Agriculture, Social and Economic development including Empowerment among many others in the FCT.
The combination of dedication to duty , hardwork, nationalism and patriotism to the public service by the Minister of FCT, Chief (Dr) Nzenwo Nyesom Wike CON has earned him a prestigious fame in Nigeria’s history and across the world.
In his birthday message, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu eulogised the Minister of FCT, giving thanks to God for enriching him with a life defined by “purpose, service and courage”.
According to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu who described Nzenwo Nyesom Wike CON as an “audacious top performer who defies obstacles and deliver results”.
While commending the Minister , the President acknowledged the ongoing transformation in the FCT, through “infrastructural expansion, highlighting the Minister’s recent intervention that broke the 14 years logjam of the construction of Apo-Karshi road .”
The President Commended his “resilience, can- do attitude, and commitment to excellence in all assignments.”
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu “thanked the Minister for consistent efforts in delivering results , and wishes him a Happy Birthday, and strength to further his good work in the FCT.”
“Nyesom Wike has been one of the shining star in the cabinet, an exceptional performer , developing infrastructure in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT as never seen before, and proving his Moniker as “Mr Project ” is not limited to his home state of Rivers”.

In his opening remarks , the Rivers State Renewed Hope Ambassadors Coordinator, on behalf of the audience, Ambassador Desmond Akawor eulogised the Minister of FCT, Nzenwo Nyesom Wike CON on his 58th Birthday.
Many dignataries also trooped to the residence of the Minister for the occasion to celebrate with him, with different birthday gifts including comments and commentaries.
The low key event resisted by dignataries, diplomats and people from all walks of life.
For the Minister , Nzenwo Nyesom Wike, we wish him a Happy Birthday and many more years, as the event marked a life fulfilling moment.
