Musa Dikko’s appointment as Federal Commissioner , FCT Public Complaints Commission PCC, in August 2024, an age long organization was greeted with alot of enthusiasm, not only from the indigenes of the Federal Capital Territory FCT , but Nigerians , given his wealth of experience and exposure.
One year down the line , the positive leadership qualities has began to manifest from his disposition and activities in the last one year to reposition and reform the commission.
The moribund organization before his assumption of duty was skipped and overtaken of it’s statutory functions as the watchdog of the society, hence denying Nigerians of the rights, privileges and functions.
His zeal to reposition the commission with a view to carrying out it’s statutory functions was demonstrateed from his series of programs and activities after assumption of duty, particularly the synergy between government Ministries, Agencies and Departments like the EFCC, ICPC, FRC, NHRC, among many others to create awareness of the statutory functions of PCC and the usurped functions by other sister agencies and relevant ones overlapping it’s functions knowingly or unknowingly.
These government agencies whose functions is similar to FCT PCC took advantage of the hitherto lame duck leadership to carry out the functions without reservations.
With the new leadership and new sheriff in town , the need to orient and raise awareness through seminars , symposiums , visitations, talkshops became sancrosanct, so as not to create any not to create any crises within sister organization and PCC.
The gradual awareness programs since his assumption of duty in the last one year has assisted his leadership acumen greatly in the reformation process been carried out .
Dikko’s approach to leadership in the last one year has been seamless and led to alot of progress and development in the organization that was lying fallow before now .
He has embarked on staff training and development, created awareness on the duties, responsibilities and functions of staff to promote the workings of the commission.
The management strategies adopted by Musa Dikko has began to pay off through leadership reorientation, awareness creation and limitations to the functions of sister agencies.
In the next few years , through sustenance and administrative dynamics of the new leadership in FCT Public Complaints Commission PCC under the purview of Musa Dikko, alot of progress will be attained and achieved in no record time .
