The Lokoja Local Government Area Council of Kogi state is set to honor for hardwork , dedication to duty and people oriented programs of Alhaji Surajudeen Yusuf Abadallah , while chairing the council over three decades ago between 1991-1993.
This was sequel to a letter done by the Executive Chairman of the Lokoja Local Government, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu to the former council boss.
Alhaji Surajudeen, the youngest council chairman produced during the early days of the local government succeeded Alhaji Bala Salisu after his election as former local government council after he won the Chairmanship seat in 1991.
The award which will be in recognition of the age long contributions to the local government while holding sway within 1991-1993 and his continuous meritorious advice to subsequent leaders.
He was elected and ruled during the interim period of the Military President, General Ibrahim Babangida and The first Executive Governor of Kogi state , Late Prince Abubakar Audu during his first term in office and performed satisfactorily well in less than two years.
An Islamic scholar, politician,business man and son of prominent religious leader in the country, Late SheiK Alhaji Yusuf Abadallah of Lokoja, a renowned Islamic scholar of high repute and regards before his demise.
