It was not only a historic day , but memorable, the last June 17 , 2025 when the current Executive Secretary, Chief Executive officer, Financial Reporting Council FRC, and former Lagos commissioner for Finance between 2019-2023 , Dr Rabiu Onaolapo Olowo jointly launched an endowment on health and humanity and also marked his 40th Birthday.
Naturally and in a general parlance,life they said begins at 40, but for Dr Olowo encompassed with his achievements in the last four decades , no doubt he had lived a good and worthy life before he begins.
With longevity in our prayers, the financial expert and guru will be living the extra part of his life many decades to come , as he had hurriedly achieved what many yearn for all their life in fourty years .
His decision to give back to the society so early has no connection with his early breakthrough, but background orientation, humane disposition and fortuitously his current status in life that people rarely achieve or survive the trend.
But, to the grace and glory of Almighty Allah, Olowo was able to gather who is who both in the public, private , expatriates, diplomats, industrialist and all you may have think of to gather at Transcorp to witness the August occasion in June , including the health related children that defied the cold night to celebrate one of their own who had decided not only to launch a foundation, but always coming to their period of need anytime, anyday based on their natural status.
From his status and background, he had succeeded in launching a multi billion naira foundation spread across the country to cater for the immediate need of special children who are sickle cell careers(SCD) , in all ramifications to reduce both the immediate and extensive ailments that might complicate their health situations, impede their efforts to success in life .
Olowo, whose early life was full of struggles , ignored any distraction and navigated through life expectations to become prominent both in the private and public sector and now to the top echelon of government in the country.
The humble parental background with a father, an Islamic scholar combined with a mother with both Islamic and gregorian background, Dr Olowo combined the two virtues to become his success story in life .
His gatherings of ‘who is who in Nigeria’ on June 17 to mark the occasion has become a talk of his organization, the FRC, other organizations, many dignataries , friends and well wishers who all commended him for living a worthy life .
The great event that started at the early hours of 6pm , lasted till about 12am as the presence of ‘who is who in Nigeria’ attracted alot of commentaries about the Chief Executive officer, Financial Reporting Council, FRC, Dr Rabiu Onaolapo Olowo and his giant strides.
The palatial event was rounded up with prayers and supplication for longevity for the celebrant and family, while wishing the invited guests safe trip to their destinations.
