Less than one year at the mantle of leadership at the Commission, alot of achievements both published and unpublished was recorded within a record time that was of great benefits to the country.
Coming from the background of an astute administrator, technocrat with indepth bureaucratic experience for many decades, the appointment of Shehu Dikko by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu under his Renewed Hope Agenda was justified from the records .
Not long ago after the Super Falcon won the WAFCON games that attracted world attention and brought Nigeria at the fore of global and local attention, the indefatigable basketball team that consolidated the previous lead for the fifth consecutive times, under his leadership as super Chairman of the National Sports Commission NSC.
Having won the Afro basket final , the D’ Tigress has justified their place again not only in footballing among many other games been managed under the leadership of Shehu Dikko National Sports Commission NSC, but their place in African basket ball history with a triumphant 78-64 victory over Mali, securing their fifth consecutive continental title and seventh overall.
The positive development and multiple victory under the new Chairman, National Sports Commission NSC, Shehu Dikko nationally, internationally and intercontinental has brought alot of focus and discourse on the new wind of sports development in the country.
With the levels of commitment to sports development in the country, the new leadership has thrown alot of supports and will chart a new course on sports activities under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
With the encouragement in all areas both on the line of profession and rewards system, no doubt the current top man at the helms of affairs under the new order , no doubt has open a new chapter towards improving sports administration.
All hands must be on deck to support the leadership of the current National Sports Commission NSC under Shehu Dikko to continue to demonstrate the winning streak going forward towards sports development in the country.
The multiple victory witnessed in the last one month internationally has opened a new chapter to sporting activities in Nigeria.
