Ukomu Igala Organization (UIO), is deeply saddened and outraged by the recent brutal murder of two young ladies (Omojo and Ajuma), along rubber plantation, in Oforachi, Igalamela/Odolu Local Government Area, Kogi State on Thursday, 31st July, 2025. This senseless act of violence has left us all in shock, grief, and anger.
We strongly condemn this dastardly act and offer our deepest condolences to the families of the victims. We stand in solidarity with them during this difficult time.
Our organization is committed to the safety and well-being of our community members, particularly women and children.
We assure the public that we are working tirelessly with other sister Organizations and relevant authorities to address this situation and prevent future occurrence.
We urge everyone to remain calm, vigilant, and united in the face of this tragedy. We will continue to advocate for justice, peace, and security in our community.
We demand that Kogi State use relevant authorities to conduct a thorough investigation and bring the perpetrators to justice.
May the Almighty God comfort their families and loved ones, and grant the souls of the innocent departed eternal rest.
