An appeal has gone from residents of Gwagwalada along Almohass, Marte Dei, Royal Spring, Old Kutunku and Jeremiah Useni Roads to the Minister of FCT , Barrister Nyesom Ezenwo Wike for reconstruction of their roads that are in bad condition .
The two roads were awarded for reconstruction and abandoned by the previous administration.
The residents of the areas in a statement issued on Tuesday congratulated the Minister for the commissioning of major roads in Gwagwalada, while appealing for extension of construction to other areas .
They said the Coordinator of
Abdulkadir Zulkiflu, Satellite Towns Development Department STDD, Abdulkadir Zulkiflu to embark on site tour to verify the authenticity of the bad shape of the roads .
While appealing to the Minister to include the two roads in the next phase of road construction in Gwagwalada, he stated that the aim of opening up rural areas will be defeated if the roads are abandoned.
Aside been flooded during raining season , the dust been raised by motorists and motorcycles during dry season constitute health hazards to residents.
