Today , July 6th, 2025 has gone down in history as the commemoration of the birthday of the former Director General, National Productivity Centre, NPC, Dr Kashim Yunusa Akor NPOM, FNIM as he clocked additional year on the surface of the earth.
Laced with success story both at the community level and public engagements, Dr Kashim Akor NPOM, FNIM was known to have transformed the National Productivity Centre, NPC, having presided over for two consecutive term of eight years , between 2015-2023, when productivity in all sectors of the Nigeria economy was at the highest pedestal.
He introduced modest and modern programs and policies that had left an indelible mark and records on the sands of time in NPC.
With sane innovations, Initiatives and transformation policies was his focus through out his stint at the National Productivity Centre, NPC.
The National Productivity Centre, NPC under Dr Kashim Akor NPOM, FNIM between 2015-2019 during his first term in office moved the agency beyond the nomenclature of National Productivity Centre, NPC, to a more viable agency contributing to the socio-economic and political development of the country.
He engaged professionals , politicians , opinion leaders and moulders , civil society organizations, the international communities, both military and paramilitary, the traditional class into contributing not only to the productive sector of the country, but also running the day to day affairs of all segments of the country.
The positive development for consecutive eight years earned the former Director General, Dr Kashim Akor NPOM, FNIM more accolades both locally and internationally as well as multiple series of awards during his tenure.
He left a legacy of community service, which assisted greatly to the contributions of the agency to communities, schools and institutions of higher learning, through series of donations of equipment across the country.
With his detribalised stance and non- sectional tendencies, he was rewarded with a Chieftaincy title both at home and outside the shores of his fatherland, the most revered one was Otunba Gbeluniyi of Ilaro in Ogun state.
He was also honored by his people for bringing modern and modest development by Ankpa Elders Forum , while the paramount ruler of Igala kingdom, the Attah igala, HRH (Dr ) Matthew Alaji Opaluwa Oguche Akpa 111 as Omachi Attah igala, with the salutation, Waaaali .
As you mark additional one year on the surface of the earth, we prayed for more wisdom, more opportunities to continue to contribute your quota to the society.
