All of us at Icheke and Omala LGA are full of appreciation to our dear leader, Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali Halims, the Deputy Majority Leader of the Federal House of Representatives, for his handsome contribution/ donation of five hundred thousand naira ( N500,000) towards the purchase of artificial hands for our brother, Mr Amos Sule who lost his two arms to amputation due to attack by Fulani herders at Icheke in Omala LGA in the year 2024.
Hon. Simeon Omale (JP) who has been doing everything possible to rally support for the treatment of Mr Amos Sule visited Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Alih Halims in his office at the National Assembly where he briefed the Deputy Majority Leader about the progress so far and the need to raise money to get artificial hands for the victim. Halims, moved with sympathy for the victim said that he is donating the sum of five hundred thousand naira ( N500,000) to assist the process of rehabilitation of the victim.
Hon. Emmanuel Ibrahim Complete who was in company of the Hon. Simeon Omale (JP) to the office was full of appreciation for the kindness of the Deputy Majority Leader. He said that Omala LGA has got a better representation at the House of Representatives than ever. Hon. Emmanuel reminded Hon. Halims that the Agojeju Odo community will never forget his intervention during the time they were displaced by the fulani herders crisis. His personal and prompt visit as well as his huge contribution will forever be fresh in the mind of Omala North and Omala LGA.
Hon. Emmanuel added that Hon. Halims did so many things in Omala LGA that are going unannounced and time has come to prepare the catalogue of the good representation of the National Assembly member. He concluded that Omala LGA will vote for Halims in 2027 for any position he shall be vying for.
Hon. Halims distinguished himself as an outstanding representative of Ankpa/ Omala/ Olamaboro Federal Constituency whose performance far surpassed that of other members of the House of Representatives from the Federal Constituency in the past.
A leader who is outstanding in accessibility, in grassroots reach, Humanitarian services, infrastructures, women and youth empowerment, education, Hon. Halims is a true believer of the welfare of the masses.
Our Constituency proud of his performance at the national Assembly especially his courage and outspokenness. His popularity at the House of Representatives gave him the position of the Deputy Majority Leader. This is the biggest position to be held by any House of Representatives member from the whole of Kogi State.

His emergence as the deputy majority leader and his hard work and dedication make us confident that he will continue to make our constituency proud.
