The Deputy Leader and member representing Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency of Kogi State at the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims has facilitated free medical outreach to no fewer than one thousand constituents at Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Local Government Areas simultaneously.
The medical outreach which is a recurring event is part of his efforts towards improving the health and living condition of his people as it is borne out of his commitment to serve the people well.
The exercise which is the second phase of its kind is targeted at people with prevalent ailments, vulnerable constituents and others who may be in need of medical attention.
The lead consultant for the exercise, Dr. Alex Osaro Eholor while monitoring the program which was held simultaneously at the General Hospital Ankpa, Okpo and Abeukolo revealed that the outreach is timely adding that the fastest way to have a healthy society is to frequently run routine medical checks to enable early detection and treatments.
In his remarks, the Chief of Staff to the Executive Chairman of Ankpa Local Government, Hon Shekuru Jibrin, while receiving treatment at Ankpa lauded Rep. Halims for the outreach which he described as a way of avoiding unforeseen medical complications that can lead to untimely death.
Reacting on behalf of other beneficiaries, Ms. Sandra Agada and Hajiya Saidetu Ademu who were interrogated at Okpo and Abejukolo, respectively thanked Hon Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims for taking the wellbeing of his constituents as a priority. They prayed God to bless him and wished those suffering severe ailments quick recovery.
