The Deputy Leader of the House of Representatives and Member Representing Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency of Kogi State, Rt. Hon Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims has heartily rejoiced with the Chairman of the Senate Committee on South Ease Development Commission, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu on his 65th Birthday.
According to a felicitation message personally signed by the Federal Lawmaker, He described the celebrant who was Chief Whip of the 9th Senate as a National Leader, an exemplary Icon, a noteworthy parliamentarian and one of Nigeria’s finest industrial trailblazer.
The felicitation message acknowledged the political trajectory of the former Abia State Governor as a journey that has been a testament of Grace noting that Nigeria’s political history will be incomplete without mentioning the courageous trajectory and ordeals of the youngest holder of the Nigerian National Merit Award before, during and after Nigeria’s return to democracy in 1999.
Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims said “being a ranking member of the National Assembly, I am not oblivious of your courageous tendency and ability to take bold decisions in the overall interest of your people and the Nation regardless of the potential political consequences of such decision and that trademark has been your distinction over the years.”
“Particularly, you have a track record of remaining true to the Nation’s best interest through your advocacies for visionary leadership over “ethnoreligious” interests which on its own, has remained a cancer worm to our nationhood. Thus, you are a leader with so much patriotism, always putting the Nation first.”
Rep. Halims further notes that he appreciates the fellowship of National Service with Sen Orji stressing that his wisdom at subduing political tension while entrenching good governance is an endeavour he cherishes greatly as he added that having recognized these virtues; the birthday is not just significant to him but the entirety of Nigerians whom they both took an oath to serve.
He thereafter on behalf of the wonderful people of Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency of Kogi State, wished Senator Orji Uzor Kalu more energy, wisdom, guidance, courage and the good health to uphold all that you stand for.
