The Deputy Leader of the House of Representatives and Member Representing Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency of Kogi State, Rt. Hon Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali Halims has described the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo as a golden vessel.
The House Leader made the description in a congratulatory message issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Comrade Muhammed Nasiru Adejoh to commemorate the Governor’s one year in office.
According to the statement, the 365days old Governor has in a historic short period shown the stuff he is made of in terms of compassion, service and dedication to the welfare of Kogites stressing that he is indeed a golden vessel worthy of celebrating.
On account of these sterling performances, Halims who is a ranking member of the House of Representatives commanded Alhaji Yahaya Bello, CON, the immediate past Governor of Kogi state for his foresight in the choice of successor stressing that the majority of Kogites are well pleased with Ododo.
The Federal Lawmaker maker while commending the Governor for his numerous interventions across different strata of the State’s economy called on his attention to the dilapidated state of some roads in his constituency that needs urgent attention as he singled out the Emere – Ofugo – Abejukolo road which connects Ankpa to Omala as a very important road that is in need of rehabilitation.
Rep. Halims assured the Governor of his continued support for the greater good of the State. He appealed to the opposition party figures to join hands with the Governor in order to form a united front that will bring lasting dividends of democracy to the State and its citizens.
