The Kogi State Chairman, National Youth Council, Comr. Ben Jerry has sent a message of appreciation to Gov Hyacinth Alia, for the unconditional release of it member, Yahaya Ahmed Idris.
Yahaya was arrested last Wednesday at the premises of the Federal University Lokoja, by men of the DSS for alledged publication said to be injurious to the Government of Benue State.
But in a swift appeal by the NYCN Chairman, Yahaya was released. The Chairman expressed appreciation to Gov Alia, assured that youths of the State have been cautioned against unverified publication.
The State NYCN Chairman called on youth to always authenticate their sources of news before publication, expressed appreciation to all those who supported in making the release of Yahaya possible .
