The Ag Vice Chancellor, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai in Niger state , Professor Hassan Ibrahim has commended the management of Nigerian Education Loan Fund, NELFUND for providing for the students of the institution in the 2024 grant .
In a letter of commendation, Professor Hassan Ibrahim wrote to acknowledge the receipt of over 122M as school fees for 2,375 students under the student loan program.
On behalf of the council , students and management of the institution, they commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the MD CEO, NELFUND for the inclusion of students of IBB University Lapai in the scheme which has increased access to education and ray of hope for ordinary Nigerians.
While stating that the new scheme will go along way to resolving the inability of students in the universities in offsetting their school fees, he said government intervention through NELFUND will nip in the bud such occurrences.
