Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, today decorated his Aide-de-Camp (ADC), Hassan Bello, with his new rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).
The Governor also decorated ASP Isma’il Ahmad Habib, Admin Officer (AO) Government House and the ASP Abdulrrahman Abdullahi Bakura, Escort Commander, the duo were elevated to the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).
During the decoration ceremony held at the State Government House, Governor Radda celebrated the newly elevated officers, noting that as senior officers of the Nigeria Police Force, you now carry an even greater responsibility to exemplify the highest standards of professionalism and conduct.
“Your elevated ranks demand heightened maturity and a deeper sense of duty, as you represent not only the Police Force but also the Nigerian government in every action you take,” the Governor stated.
Governor Radda continued by emphasizing the importance of family support in the officers’ success, expressing particular appreciation to their spouses who share in this achievement.
“To the families, particularly the wives of our newly decorated officers, your unwavering support has been instrumental in enabling these officers to discharge their duties effectively.
We trust you will continue to provide the essential backing they need to fulfill their responsibilities to both family and nation,” the Governor said.
Governor Radda further reaffirmed the broader contributions of law enforcement agencies in the state, stating that “I must commend the Commissioner of Police, officers, and men of the Nigeria Police Force in Katsina for their dedicated service and commitment to addressing security challenges in our state. Your collaborative efforts with the state government in confronting insecurity have been remarkable, and we must sustain this momentum.”
“This elevation marks not just a personal achievement but a commitment to even greater service,” the Governor concluded.
“We pray that these new ranks will enable you to better serve our communities and elevate the standards of the Nigeria Police Force to unprecedented heights.”
Notably, DSP Bello has extensive training including combat operational and counter-terrorism at Police Mobile Training School, Ila Orangun, Tactical Operations Training at the Peace Keeping Camp, Abuja and specialized investigative training on the Administration of Criminal Justice System.
DSP Bello also holds several professional certifications, including an Advanced Detective Course certification from Police Staff College Jos and an Advanced Professional Diploma in Security Management and Strategic Operations.
Similarly, DSP Isma’il, commissioned in 2018, bagged Bachelor of Science in Sociology, with vast experience during his service at FCT Command, Abuja.
DSP Bakura, also shared a similar background with the other elevated officers.
Dignitaries at the ceremony are, Alhaji Ibrahim Kabir Masari, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Political and other Matters; Katsina State Deputy Commissioner Commissioner of Police, Aminu Usman Gusau, represented the State Commissioner of Police; Assistant Commissioner in Charge of Mobile Police Force, Adamu Babayo; Members of the State Executive Council, and Members of the families of the promoted officers.
The newly decorated officers have demonstrated exemplary service in maintaining security protocols and coordinating executive protection in Katsina state and the nation at large.
