Rep. Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali Halims of Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency of Kogi State on Wednesday fulfilled the partial conditions for the award of a Doctor of Philosophy Degree (PhD) in Political Science at the Nasarawa State University, Keffi.
The condition which was a panel defense of his project held scholars to obvious astonishments owing to his unprecedented oratory prowess and in-depth presentation of the thesis — International Money Laundering Prohibition Act And It’s Domestication As A Tool For The Fight Against Corruption In Nigeria.
Rep. Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims who doubles as the Deputy Majority Leader of the House of Representatives was applauded by his Lead Supervisor, Prof. Eugine Aligba after his presentation amidst commendation from other departmental staff present at the internal defense.
The research is a partial fulfillment of the requirement for the award of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Political Science with specialty in International Relations and Diplomacy. Money laundering is the various procedures and methods by which criminal proceeds are disguised as legitimate funds by concealing their true origin and ownership to give the picture that they emanate from a legitimate source.
The Deputy House Leader who obtained his first degree from the University of Abuja also holds a Masters Of Science in Political Science and International Relations from the same University which was recently ranked 36th in Sub-saharan Africa and eight in Nigeria by the Times Higher Education which rated the School as the second best State owned University in Nigeria.
