Katsina State Government in collaboration with the NG-Cares has disbursed cash grants in varying amount to over 3,020 business owners across the state to bolster Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) development.
The grants, distributed in varying amounts of ₦50,000, ₦100,000, and ₦300,000, were awarded through Katsina State Enterprises Development Agency (KASEDA), based on the specific needs and capacity of the beneficiaries business.
The initiative aligns with Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, PhD CON promise to provide financial support for small businesses, strengthen the local economy, and create sustainable employment opportunities across the state.
Explaining the importance of the initiative, Director General of KASEDA, Hajiya Aisha Aminu, stated, empowering small business owners is critical to achieving economic stability and growth in Katsina State. These grants will help our entrepreneurs expand their operations, acquire essential resources, and contribute to the overall development of our state.
“The NG-Cares/KT Cares collaboration aligns with the state government’s broader strategy of promoting inclusive economic growth and supporting grassroots development,” Hajiya Aisha stated.
Governor Radda, however, assured good people of Katsina State of the State Government commitment to ensure that no one is left behind. “These grants are not just funds; they represent opportunities for our people to build sustainable livelihoods and contribute to the economic prosperity of Katsina State,” the Governor maintained.
The beneficiaries of this initiative span a wide range of sectors, including agriculture, trade enterprises and other business services. With this programme, KASEDA reinforces its role as a catalyst for economic development and enterprise support in the state.
