The Deputy Leader of the House of Representatives and Member Representing Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency of Kogi State, Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims has assured the Ejeh Olamaboro and Chairman of Olamaboro Traditional Council that his stewardship will continue to prioritise the welfare of his constituents adding that he takes pride in being Olamaboro’s Trojan.
The assurance is contained in a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the Deputy House Leader on Media and Publicity, Comrade Muhammed Nasiru Adejoh in Abuja on Saturday.
According to the statement, Rep. Halims stated this on Friday during an interaction session of HRH the Ejeh of Olamaboro and Critical Stakeholders and Youth Groups in Abuja at the Chida Hotel, Utako.
While acknowledging that the economy has greatly affected many constituents at home and in the diaspora, Rep. Halims said his representation will continue to provide social supports such as the series of training and empowerment programs he has facilitated for over three thousand constituents in a view to cushion the unintended consequences of the prevalent economic realities in the country.
The Deputy House Leader congratulated the monarch for organising such an epoch event. He particularly applauded the moral support of the traditional institution in the implementation of government policies and , programa calling for more guidance to institutionalise good governance and sustainable growth.
The people’s Rep further noted that he is at peace with himself whenever he reminisces about the relative scorecard of his predecessors in relation to his current interventions in Olamaboro Local Government Area as he highlighted some of the projects he personally facilitated to the area for improved local economy.
In his remarks, the Ejeh, who is a certified lawyer expressed his readiness to offer technical support in budgeting processes, adding that it will assist his people in achieving the best possible results from the government.
His Royal Highness further expressed gratitude to everyone present at the interactive session as he commended the Rep. Halims’ Stewardship in Olamaboro Local Government Area. HRH Ujah Simeon stressed that contrary to popular perception, the traditional institution is not a government stooge but an institution focused on cooperating with constituted authorities to improve the livelihood of its subjects.
