The universality of the acceptability of Alhaji Alhaji as he is fondly called prior to assuming office has become evidently evident in the midst of his monumental achievements within his first 30 days in office.
Alhaji Alhaji’s barage of achievements within this relatively short time is not only a reflective of his leadership prowess and acumen but ipso facto his dogged and absolute commitment to improving the standard of living through infrastructural and human capital development.
In 30 days, he has raised the bar of governance thus;
1. Grading of Agukele Street which has not been motorable in over 25 years.
2. Grading of Ankpa Street which has also not been motorable for over 18 years
3. Submitted two bills to the legislative council:
A. Bill for the regulation of road encroachment and waste management within market areas in Idah local government council.
B. Environmental health and sanitation regulation bill, 2024
4. Constitution and inauguration of Sports Development Committee
5. Visitation to Niger Delta Power Holding Company, Abuja through Alhaji Ibi Maigiwa with prompt response by the company that led to the Engr Murtala Muhammed’s visit to Iyogbo sub – Station on Monday, November 18, 2024.
6. Constitution and inauguration of Task Force on Market Regulation
7. Comprehensive renovation and upgrading of 7 Primary Health Care Centres at the embryonic stage.
8. Restoration of original design of Ega market by the council ongoing.
9. Renovation of long abandoned Idah Information and Communication Center now ready for usage
All these in 30 days is a testament of the Chairman’s level of preparedness to provide dividends of democracy.
